Service Cycle
In this version of Magix a new option is available to manage when service vehicles are due for a ‘next service’.
At the moment the system relies on the entry of a Next Service Date on the Service Record. The drawback of this approach is that if the customer does not come in or the date is not updated the Vehicle will drop off the ‘next service due’ Marketing.
In the Service Record there is a new field, Cycle (Months).
• When this system is turned on this field is mandatory.
• The valid Cycles are 0, 3, 6 & 12 Months. A cycle of 0 means the vehicle will not come up in the Next Service Due Marketing process.
• The system will create the dates for the next 3 times the vehicle is due for service.
• A new button ‘Cycle’ is shown in Service Record Inquires. This will show these dates.
• If a vehicle does not come in by the last date on the service cycle it will drop off the marketing system.
• The system uses the ‘Last Service Date’ field to base its calculations on.
