V12.4.21 - Service Technicians

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Relavant only if you have multiple branches.

 

In this version of Magix the Technician record no longer has a Branch#. This means in a Branch situation a Technician can perform work in any branch.

 

Previously you would need to set the Technician up in all branches you wish the person to work in.

 

Please be aware of the following:

 

•      As part of this change any ‘duplicate’ technicians i.e. with the same code in different branches will delete leaving just one technician with the ‘duplicate’ code. So you may need to perform some maintenance on your technician file.

 

•      The Time Clocking module will show all Technician names. This is to enable Tech’s to clock on/off when they are at a different branch.

 

•      If a Technician will never move between branches. You can enter the Technicians Branch# in this field. Doing so will stop the Technician from appearing in the Time Clock in all branches except for the Branch you have entered.
